Nestled on the North Pacific coast of Costa Rica, Tamarindo is a bustling beach town with 1.5 miles of shore to enjoy. One of the most popular destinations in Costa Rica, Tamarindo is home to great restaurants, world class surfing, incredible bio-diversity and, of course, “Pura Vida.” Conveniently located about a 1 hour drive from Liberia Airport (LIR), it makes for a great launch point to explore Costa Rica or to relax and enjoy your entire vacation at the beach.
Weather in Tamarindo can be divided up into two seasons – Dry and Rainy. Dry Season lasts from mid November until late April/early May. During this time, it is sunny all day, with few clouds in the sky. Rain this time of year is extremely rare making it one of the most popular times to visit. In January and February, the offshore Papagayo winds create great surf and bring a bit of relief from the heat. Rainy Season starts as soon as Dry Season ends. For May and June, it usually rains a few times a week for a bit in the afternoon. July brings back the Papagayo winds for a “veranito” or little summer for 2-3 weeks. The rain returns in August, more often then May or June leading into September and October when it rains most days for a few hours in the afternoon. Luckily for us, it stays nice and warm year round.
Mango Condos is a 5 minute walk from the center of Tamarindo and even less to the beach. Within 10 minutes, you will find a market, restaurants, clothing stores, bars and even an art gallery. Be sure to take the time to explore, experience and enjoy Tamarindo and Mango Condos.
