Best Restaurants in Tamarindo

Playa Tamarindo, Costa Rica plays host to many restaurants of all price points and styles. Some restaurant options are:

Patagonia:

This Argentinian steakhouse is extremely popular in Tamarindo. Located in downtown, about a 15 minute walk from Mango Condos, reservations are a must at Patagonia as they are full most nights. The menu includes Argentinian classics like milanesa, chorizo, steak, a full BBQ table for two and the best sangria in Tamarindo. Prices are $40-75/person.

Seasons by Shlomy:

Fine dining Tamarindo style. This upscale casual restaurant has been a tamarindo favorite for years. Mediterranean fusion food is served poolside includes seafood, steak and plenty of vegetarian options. Please keep in mind that Seasons does not accept credit cards. Prices are $30-50/person.

Nogui’s:

This classic Costa Rican restaurant is a local favorite for it’s beach front location, típica favorites and sunset happy hour. Some of the freshest fish in town and a visit to Tamarindo is not complete without Nogui’s pie. Prices are $20-30/person.

Baula Pizzeria:

Tamarindo’s classic pizza joint is about a 10 minute walk away from Mango Condos and features italian style thin crust pizza, Montepulciano wine and a playground for the kids. Prices are $20-30/person.

Santa Rita Cafe:

A bit of a walk from Mango Condos but will worth it. Located across from the beach, this little cafe features delicious coffee and chai. You can never go wrong with their smoked salmon toast or quiche of the day with salad. Prices are $5-15/person.

Pasta Casero:

Tamarindo Beach’s best place for empanadas. Pasta Casero has a variety of flavors including chicken, beef and vegetable. Homemade ravioli, sauces and pizza are also available for purchase as well as amazing panini sandwiches. Prices are $2-10/person.

Food Court:

The place in Tamarindo for cheap eats. The Tamarindo Food Court features eight different restaurants including a bakery, Asian fusion, típica Costa Rican and German Schnitzel. Located about a 10 minute walk from Mango Condos in the center of town and across from the taxi stand, this bustling hub has something for everyone. Prices are $5-15/person.
